We had another fabulous dinner at Tillie’s in Short Hills, NJ. We really need to do a HO down here🙂 The food is so good.
Chef Wirt very generously comped us with an awesome dish of cortecce pasta with lobster and cherry tomatoes that burst in your mouth with flavor. I also brought Chef Wirt a bottle of wine to show my appreciation for how he always takes good care of us. The picture below is a split portion. We also split his excellent crispy fried chicken thigh entree with herbed potato salad…

We had our monthly feast at Chengdu 1 Palace, with the PSTOF(ood) and PSTOL(eftovers) We have enough leftovers for 2 more dinners.
We ordered the always awesome dishes of hot and spicy lobster, hot and spicy jumbo prawns, spicy lamb stir fry, crispy spicy chicken ding, ants climbing a tree, and spicy baby wontons in chili oil. We had them remove the cilantro from the lobster and prawn dishes, since we don’t like cilantro, and had them add extra ginger and spicy crunchy celery. It all went…

She used farfalle pasta, scallions, red pepper flakes, butter, sea salt, black pepper, olive oil, and was topped with fresh shaved parmigiano reggiano. The awesome creamy sauce was made with pureed fresh sweet NJ corn, butter, parmesan, sautéed scallions, and red pepper flakes to give it a nice kick and compliment the sweet corn.

BTW…I have been drinking Miller Hilife since 1962, when my dad gave me a sip of his when I was 8 years old!! love it today as well!

Mrs. P made a delicious roast pork tenderloin salad. Below is a link to the details and pictures.
We had some fresh handmade mozzarella that we had to use up so Mrs. P was just going to make a simple mozzarella, tomato, and basil salad to go with some pork tenderloin. Of course Mts. P doesn’t do anything simple So what started out as a simple salad turned into a delicious main course of roast pork tenderloin (with a Cajun dry rub) salad, with arugula, mozzarella, avocado, radishes, sautéed red onions, cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, fresh homegrown basil, celery, and reduced b…

Our friend from Staten Island had us over for a caviar dinner. Below is a link to the details and pictures.
Our friend from Staten Island invited us over for a caviar dinner. I am not really a caviar fan but this was pretty good. The caviar I have had in the past was salty and fishy but this was none of that. My favorite was a trout roe that was bacon infused. He also made smoked shrimp; pesto risotto with black truffles; seared day boat scallops with white wine, lemon butter, and crispy bacon; maple cured sausage and peppers; smoked chicken with hoisin and garlic and shaved black truffles; and a del…

We had a real crab fest tonight thanks to the beautiful King crab legs and dungeness crab that we bought at Costco. Below is a link to the mouthwatering pictures.
@corvette_johnny this one is for you
Costco had some beautiful sweet meaty huge King crab legs and dungeness crab. We bought 2 King crab legs and 4 dungeness crabs. Mrs. P simply steamed them and we had them with TPSTOB and old bay seasoning Mrs. P also made a refreshing corn salad on the side. There was so much crab meat in each dungeness crab and King Crab leg that we have 2 dungeness crab left over for tomorrow. I’m sure Johnny could have finished them all off in one meal …

The rain yesterday mid-smoke threw me for a loop and then I wrapped mid way through (which I never do…and probably won’t again) I ended up with too soft, falling off the bone ribs. Boo.
But in the past I’ve put a couple pics of decent food in this thread, have to show the crap, too.
