Bloom (Verona, NJ)

A wine from Priorat … my side of the planet.

This is quite a gem of red. Celeste !

A conquistador of the palate !!!
Opulent, brilliant intense black cherry toned multi varietal, and possesses matured black fruit aromas and a perfect accompaniment to red meats and wild game (venison and boar)…

We enjoy Priorat reds grown on slate terraces in Flaset, Tarragona.

Some of the best (and quite pricey) reds of the Denomination of Origen Priorat, are from the wine estates of Alvaro Palacios.

Are you Hilaria Baldwin?

My bad, that’s Mallorca…perhaps a Gran Verań from Biniagual?

Falset, Tarragona Priorat Reds are quite amazing.

Camins Alvaro Palacios is another jewel and it is a young vintage so i is approx 20 €uros.

All my best for a healthy, successful and Happy New Year 2021.

We enjoyed another outstanding dinner at Bloom. Besides the usually awesome pork and bulgogi tacos; escargot; and truffled fries, I enjoyed a sensational duck leg confit with sweet potato puree, roasted endive with mustard sauce, pickled cucumbers, and a port wine reduction. Mrs. P enjoyed sautéed scallops with wild mushrooms, kimchee puree and mushroom risotto. We also had Korean style poutine and the Chef brought back the excellent fried shishito peppers. It all went great with an excellent cabernet.
