Baking Cookbook of the Month January-April 2023 NOMINATIONS

Welcome to the nominating thread for January–April 2023 Baking Cookbook of the Months, where we’ll start the process of choosing a book to bake from collectively. Sweet or savory, bread or cake (or both!) — it’s all on the table

You may nominate as many books as you like. Please post the names of the books you are nominating in ALL CAPS for clarity. (If you’re just discussing rather than nominating a book, use regular capitalization.) Please nominate with the intention of participating should your nomination move on to voting and win. Books with the most nominations will move on to a vote.

NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18 at 11 PM GMT/7 PM EDT/4 PM PDT.

Anyone have Savory Baking? Any thoughts on that? Just saw it in a bookstore and was drawn to it.

I received this for Christmas, and am reading my way through it. Thus far, while I haven’t been motivated to make a particular recipe, I have gotten a lot of ideas about modifying recipes I already make to resemble some of the dishes presented. She also talks quite a bit about technique, and I feel I’m learning a bit and getting a lot of useful tips. I find the batch/portion sizes can be quite generous, so for our household, I’ll have to scale things down. I’m sure I’ll end up baking something directly from it (ETA: but maybe not a lot).
