I wanted to dive into the pot, even before the cream and parmesan went in!

Brined then roasted chicken with a little veg and smashed potatoes on the side. Planning a few extra meals with the chicken leftovers and some stock.

Opened a nice 2013 Pinot and cracked a few bday books for the long weekend; Salt Fat Acid Heat, and Questlove’s Mixtape Potluck.

I made pizza last night following the flour water salt yeast easy pizza dough method which was good but needs some tweaking. It was an enormous pain to get into the oven (as I really should have expected, in hindsight…) not pretty but good enough. I have another dough that I’ll try tomorrow.
