One of Trejo’s locations is within walking distance. They do make outside the box tacos (some misses, mostly hits) and for a chain they’re not afraid to bring the big heat on a few dishes - unfortunately they toned the salsa heat as they’ve expanded. I didn’t know about the cookbook either and am definitely interested in checking it out! Cool dude. Happy for his success.

This. The lockdown is bringing my cooking mojo back but not my kitchen cleaning mojo.

It’s good mixed with mayo in pasta salad. :relaxed:

It’s so gorgeous!

One of the worst parts about being stuck at home is we can’t hang outside or even on the patio… not that it ever looked like Mrs P’s. But right now it looks like this!

“Don’t worry… don’t worry… It’s going to be beautiful.”

Has anyone checked Mrs P to see if she wears a cape under her clothing?

Phew! I made it thru the whole thread! Y’all really know how to cook and eat! I’m tempted to go back and read November & December - I’m sure it’s insane. I missed you guys.

P.S. Feel better @Scubadoo97! Your meal looks great.

Thanks Cookie

Have colonoscopy sch this week and the hernia surgery on the the 1st if I want traditional or the 15th if I want to go robotic. I like to hold for robotic if possible as it has some advantages for the Surgeon and I guess ME although a bit more expensive. Thank goodness for Medicare

Eating small meals and doing ok. The other day I had second thoughts but I ate a small amount of coleslaw which caused major gastric discomfort. I’m off cabbage :frowning: for the time being

You’re welcome!

…and modern medicine & technology! Sounds like you’re in good hands.

I’d been wondering about whether people can still get colonoscopies and things like that, right now. Before the C19 outbreak my doctor was giving me sh_t (no pun) because I’m a few years overdue for my age. I was like yeah, yeah… but never thought I wouldn’t be able to get it when I wanted. :grimacing:

I like just saying it. But cooking it is better.

My scopy was canceled the night before. If I didn’t know it was going to be cancelled (husbands group, so I got the heads up), I would have been furious if I 'd started the prep. Instead, I was happy but also ambivalent.

Seems like business as usual up to a point. Doctors are careful but not canceling procedures
