One of our favorite places is Skratch Kitchen in Bradley Beach NJ. Mr Bean ALWAYS orders their Cajun Clams. A friend gave us some fresh clams so I decided to make something similar.

Clams, andouille sausage, cannellini beans, cherry tomatoes, white wine, tomato paste, anchovies, thyme, oregano and Penzys Resist spice mix - a blend of black pepper, salt, paprika, cayenne red pepper, white pepper, and chipotle pepper.

Get flat or square ones, NOT rounded ones. The flats/squares will ensure the meat and veg don’t spin when you go to turn them on the grill. Like this:

Beat me to it. Flatness is key.

It sure looks good! Nice and fresh.

Thank you! It was pretty good. I had a bite of the leftover chicken this morning, and it was flavorful.

Curry Leaf Chicken (my go to when I buy too many Curry Leaves ) and Pulav/Pulao with Dals, Fried Onions and Peas.

Despite the heat warning and AQ advisory, I cranked up the grill, made some potato salad and grilled some COTC. Chicken thighs and corn were glazed with my secret BBQ sauce, potato salad was dressed(warm) with Dijon-aise, diced red pepper, Kosher pickle, and scallions were added, the a light dusting of paprika.
Summer on a plate. :yum: :pinched_fingers:

drool-worthy! now i’m craving curry…

Nothing glamorous – a bunch of leftovers combined (bulgur, roasted chickpeas and butternut squash, and tomato-red pepper soup) and reheated in the storage container and given a sprinkle of cheese. It’s been a busy few days and I just don’t have it in me to make and clean up more mess. Our fridge is also bursting. Each family member has some different form of scrounge tonight.

I had a dark chocolate cupcake for dessert.

I had planned a dinner salad but it’s foggy and 64 out and I needed something warm and comforting and low-lift. Freezer-scrounge brat, Dijon, crispy-creamy oil-and-salt-roasted potato with TPSTOB and sauerkraut it was.

Salmon with white bean puree, flavored with smoked paprika, rosemary, and garlic with steamed green beans to accompany.

I put the write up of the process on the Salmon Inspiration thread.

You could head down to South Bay may be.
Thanks for the compliment.

After a long weekend out of town both of us were a little sluggish today. Took some chicken breasts out of the freezer this morning. I had a nap and when I woke up he was snoozing away in his recliner. Put the chicken on to simmer with chopped onion, a little jalapeño, s&p, splash of white wine and boxed chicken stock. Canned biscuits. Good. Garden salad for him .

We felt like an easy, light summer meal. I wanted shrimp. A peek at my NYT recipe box with its millions of recipes delivered a worthy candidate: pla goong.

I plumped up the big & snappy BTS from Aldi in the fridge for most of the afternoon & poached them briefly before tossing them with the wonderful sauce. I’d cut down on the sugar even more next time, but other than that it was fantastic. Key is to chop those sturdy lime leaves into oblivion. And of course we added more Thai bird peppers than called for

My boo contributed another casa lingua favorite, also a NYT recipe.

A lil mound of rice to sop up the sawces. Good meal for a Monday, and the pla goong recipe’s a keeper
