Oops, forgot about the new September thread, plz move @moderator-team

That pizza is making my mouth water. It looks like perfection! I am very interested in the charred scallion dressing. Would you please share.

The Branzino looks wonderful.

It was perfectly grilled. Mrs. P said it was one of the best pieces of fish that she has had.

I’m with you on the pizza - it’s been decades since I’ve had such a thin-crust-yet-saucy pizza, and now it’s all I’m craving. @ GretchenS linked to the charred scallion dressing - good stuff!

Moved to the September thread…

Thank you so very much. I am going to make this as soon as I get a grocery order with green onions.

My book paradigm changed completely when my kids were born. I used to love buying books, owning books, being surrounded by bookshelves full of my books. And then I realized that I absolutely could not afford what my Library could provide for free, which was 20 to 30 picture books every week for the little ones. Once I started to get library books for them, it was an easy intellectual adjustment to get them for myself instead of buying everything. I haven’t looked back. I’m a voracious reader who goes through one to two books a week, and I couldn’t afford myself either if I were buying them all. Btw I enjoyed Martyr. I hope you do too.

I hear ya about buying books. I love to read too and I have way too many books. I would have to live until the age of 200 years old to finish them all  (I am exaggerating a bit but I do have a lot of books…) I actually banned myself from bookstores/book fairs about 20 years ago but I caved last weekend. One of the book clubs I’m in will be reading the next two books at our next two meetups. I usually put my name on the waiting list for the library copy but I thought I’d make an exception for these two since they look like they’d be a good investment. I’m only a few chapters into Martyr and I am thoroughly enjoying it already.
