BF drove all the way out to Southwick, MA from where we live in the Boston area on a donut run to Mrs. Murphy’s. Parker, our donut fiend cat, is losing his mind (we enjoyed them, too)!
That green mat sure plays up those gorgeous green eyes. Nice looking donuts, too.
We feel lucky to have him and his big, green eyes every day! The donuts are a nice bonus this week
Scramble with ham, fresh asparagus, and home-smoked white cheddar. Buttermilk biscuit with homemade peach and blackberry jams. Home-pressed apple juice.
Huevos rancheros with homemade carnitas, black beans cooked in bacon fat, cheese, roasted red peppers, my go-to salsa ranchera, creme fraiche, onions, and a very runny egg.
understatement of the day
If cats could talk like a drunken sailor.
Yeah, that’s about right. He’s actually pretty vocal and I have times I find myself saying, “That’s a hell of a thing to say to your mother!”
That sweet one wouldn’t speak like that!
Mackerel tabby love!
He’s gorgeous
What a sweetie!
Thank you! I can’t take credit; he knows he’s a super star
This is our beautiful boy, Mittens. He’s not actually ours but he comes by for pets, treats, and a porch snooze daily.
He is a handsome fella!
He can read! We’ve had many cats become ‘ours’ by those circumstances. Attention junkies and the best sugglers. He
is so lucky!
Fridge clean-out. Egg scramble with broccolini and scallions. Leftover roast chicken. The last of the Irish champ.
A “proper” German Sonntagsfrühstück (minus proper liverwurst or teewurst or herring salad or trout roe or fresh milk or proper breakfast rolls, all things I would be having if I were in Berlin): Wegmans sourdough rolls, salami, havarti, Parma ham, too soft-boiled eggs. Gotta add another 30 sec or even a minute next time. Spoogy whites >shudder<
