What's for breakfast (aka what's going to happen exciting today)?

1 egg omelette with a bit of aged cheddar, and a leftover Mofongo cake which made up both carb and bacon.

Overnight blueberry pecan French toast.

I find this takes a lot longer to bake than the recipe calls for, but it’s worth the wait. No syrup required, in my book.

those all look good to me – typically I’m a coffee person and wait til lunch on weekdays but had some odds and ends that had to be used or tossed…

one long chili pepper
one roma tomato
one green onion
a slice of smoked salmon
half a glob of smoked burrata
3 eggs

prob good til dinner now!

I am firing my cook. Overcooked soft boiled eggs are grounds for termination.

Pork and green beans fried rice for breakfast.

I found the recipe while looking for ways to use up a plethora of green beans. The addition of lime was a nice touch. Will make again.

Team savory all the way. And - according to me - it ain’t breakfast if it ain’t got eggs. (Bagels & lox are brunch.)

Yes to savory! I like a LOT of protein at breakfast. Too many carbs and too much sugar, and I just feel sluggish all day long. Not saying I don’t do sugary now and then, but it has to be a day when I have little planned after breakfast other than a nap.
