What's for breakfast (aka what's going to happen exciting today)?

I’ve had 2 longer pescatarian phases, 1995-1996, and 2004-Aug 2006, and half a dozen pescatarian Lents. The end of my 2nd pescatarianism phase coincided with CNET buying Chowhound- making the site more addictive than the old Blue bulletin board. I started taking part in meetups with TO Chowhounds to check out restaurants and host feasts. I stopped doing the potlucks , Cake Days, Waffle Days, Dumpling Days, Cookie Days etc around 2015, but it’s not like that’s helped me lose weight. I’ve put on around 30 lbs since 2006, partly because of my try everything approach, I think, plus age, stress, lack of willpower, etc.

Aha. I’ve been pescatarian nonstop since around 1982. Not counting the few times I ate meat by accident (thought chicken salad was tuna, etc.).

Cheese omelette (I love fake cheese for omelette and grilled cheeses) with an ample amount of sriracha!

Hit the spot!

Noodles for breakfast, again.

Sorry about the fuzziness. Nissin Raoh Soy ramen - nothing like slurping a bowl of scorchingly hot noodles to get your day started!

I really like the noodles in Nissin’s Raoh line - I’ve read it means King of Ramen. Superior quality to other Nissin products.

I added red and green onions, peas (needed to use 'em up) and fresh ground white pepper.

I haven’t had eggs in the house for over a month. Decided to take a break from them. Got down to no bread, pastries or fruit, except canned, also, so breakfasts here at Chez BruceSW have been catch as catch can for a while.

Corned beef hash, sunny side up-ish egg, rye bread toast. The rest of the corned beef is going in the freezer.

Leftover pizza for breakfast is nothing to be ashamed of, IMO. In fact it’s one of my favorites.

Bakery rye, 32 hour sous vide corned beef, house Ukraine :ukraine: dressing, homemade sauerkraut, a nice Swiss gruyere all griddled and grilled low and slow. Man I love me a good Ruben any time of day!

We had a blowout dinner at a steakhouse last night. I couldn’t quite finish my steak (over indulged in bone marrow and needed to save room for bourbon), so I brought home enough dry aged sirloin to make a couple of steak and egg breakfast sandwiches. I put what remained of the Roquefort in my cheese drawer on mine.

Today I just eat fruits and vegetables for my breakfast.

Overnight oats. I eat this every day. The only things that change are the fruits and times.

Avocados and milk

In Oaxaca they “whisk” the chocolate until frothy. The tool is called “molinillo”. (Rub vigorously between hands, pour into cups as soon as froth forms).
