What's for breakfast? (2024)

Breakfast tacos. Fresh spanish chorizo, eggs, scallions, chives, cheddar cheese. Pico de gallo on the side. Hot sauce and sour cream for garnish. I ate two (but wanted three).

Served with store-bought corn tortillas – I ate three.

Local asparagus, FarmBoy all beef hot dog, Hellman’s and a big squeeze of lemon

How was the hot dog? I’ve only had a few Farm Boy products (salad dressings, peanuts, shrimp) and so far I’ve been happy with what I’ve had.

I know we have this @The Farm Boy Thread [Ontario] [Ottawa] [Toronto] [London, Ontario]

I don’t like Farm Boy all beef hot dogs as much as Schneiders, Maple Leaf, Shopsy’s or Norpack. I probably won’t buy FarmBoy hot dogs again. Last summer and the year before, I tried a different brand or type of hot dog every time I bought a pack. I’d give Farm Boy All Beef 7/10. They’re the same size as Schneiders Red Hots.

New-to-me treat called “kiffles,” bought at the farmers market in Lemoyne, PA. Apparently a Hungarian cookie with a cream-cheese dough and pie filling-like filling. I wanted to try all the flavors, especially walnut, but they didn’t offer mixed flavors, so raspberry it was.

These were sold at an Amish or Amish-adjacent bakery stand and come to think of it there were also imported Hungarian cake rolls on offer there. I wonder if a local plain sect has Hungarian origins.

What, if anything, accompanied the arancina?

Oh gawd that looks divine!

Nothing but a couple of napkins :yum:
