Surprise! French people are loving their frozen fries (frites surgelées).
The Washington Post rates frozen fries, but limited it to “skinny” versions.
I’ve searched everywhere nearby for Lamb and Weston frozen fries, and nobody sells them here. Oh well.
I just made the skinny ones in my air fryer. They’re quite good, but I think it’s the skinny part that makes them work.
I found the Lamb and Westons! I google-imaged them, and I recognized the packaging. The brand name isn’t very prominent. In the air fryer, 400F for 12 minutes, they were very good, a little crispy, a little soft inside, better flavor than recent McCains. I’ll let them go a little longer next time.

Where’d you find them? I’ve been keeping my eye out but never seem to run across them in San Francisco.
Berkeley Bowl West this time, but I’ve seen them at Safeway. The brand name is obscured by the giant Made With REAL IDAHO POTATOES! on the label.
Yup - look for the brown bag that has that on it.
I like them in my air fryer!
