Welcome!
We have an active baking community here, fun to both participate and observe, also very helpful folks.
There’s a monthly baking thread and also a quarterly Baking Cookbook thread for folks to bake along together. Right now there’s a holiday treats thread too (which is likely about to get very active).
We’ve had a few group cooking turns at Vietnamese on Cuisine of the Quarter and Cookbook of the Month, and those discussions stay open forever so you can add to them anytime.
I love Vietnamese food and have learned to make a few favorite dishes via those threads.

Holidays are a-comin! What’s in your oven?
My holiday treat-making started early this year, and won’t stop till the year runs out, so I thought I’d start the thread.
What’s happening that’s festive in your kitchens?

I’m thrilled to announce that VIETNAMESE was the clear winner for Summer 2017’s Cuisine of the Quarter! Thank you very much to everyone who voted.
I’m fairly certain I only own one Vietnamese cookbook, so I’d love book/author recommendations from you HOs with larger collections and more experience with this cuisine.
