Thank you to all who participated in nominations for Cookbook of the Month(s)!
We have one definitive winner for the first COTM of 2026 — SAMIN NOSRAT!
For the SECOND choice for this quarter, we are voting among the several other authors / books that received multiple nominations.
Please cast your vote by JAN 31 – we will finalize and set up the new COTM threads for Feb 1.
Please remember that participating in voting means you intend to cook along and report your explorations on the COTM threads
.
You will notice that we are using a RANKED CHOICE POLL for the first time on COTM – so please choose AS MANY options as appeal to you, in your order of preference. We hope this will facilitate a result that appeals to the most people, even if it isn’t a first choice.

TECHNIQUES Quarter – Fish Without a Doubt (Rick Moonen), Stir-Frying to the Sky’s Edge / Breath of a Wok (Grace Young), All About series (Molly Stevens): Braising, Roasting, Dinner
I agree! Saregama, you have put so much work into this and it is deeply appreciated. I hope to participate in the next round if things continue getting a little less stressful for me. In any case, I always love to read and follow along.
Tough choice. Not sure if I should cast a vote as all my attention will be going toward the Samin thread. I am repeating a question from the prior thread, will these books for this quarter be given their full 3 months or only February and March?
I am not voting since my contributions have been very hit and miss (mostly miss). However, I have books from all these categories and plan to cook whatever the outcome.
Reminder to everyone who nominated and voted for the current Cookbooks of the Month – we have another month of the COTM, in case you haven’t jumped in yet!
