Advice, or tutorials on cooking mushrooms

I’m a KISSer too, I guess: mushrooms, beer, a little soy sauce and reduce. Dump over steak. Pork steak for us, usually.

There are several “dried porcini mushroom sources” threads

…but I couldn’t find one for ideas for prepping and using dried mushrooms.

There are some good ideas here!

Husband doesn’t like mushrooms, I think because of texture, but I don’t think he was opposed to the flavor in some Trader Joe mushroom powder

Anyway, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. So I bought a variety of dried mushrooms.

So far I soaked some of a “melange cultive” in water, and plan to use them in a "breakfast "/ egg casserole.
