Recommend dried porcini mushroom source?

I posted a query about this some time ago, and am thinking that there were no replies. But, again, I’m looking to order another half-pound or pound of porcini. I’ve ordered several times from Olive Nation before, and that was mostly fine. On looking to their site, I noticed that they distinguish between regular and “organic” varieties, which seemed odd, in that porcini only grow in the wild. But anyway… Recommend any vendors? Thanks.

Where to buy dried porcini mushrooms?

I live in Philadelphia, and I can buy some for $7/oz from Di Bruno Bros., but this seems like a product that might be optimally purchased online. I know Trader Joe’s has some occasionally, but I haven’t seen them there in a while. More broadly, if people have online dried mushroom sources they like, I’d like to hear them. Thanks!

Dried Porcini Source?

I always have dried porcini mushrooms on hand, and need to replenish my usual mail-order of a large bag in the 8oz. range. I’ve ordered from OliveNation before, and they taste fine, but I did feel that the sizing of slices was sub-par for the grade. That may have been a one-off issue, and OliveNation was fully ready to replace the bag (which I actually didn’t bother to do, because I hate packaging and mailing things). But it does make me curious what sources you all have found worthy for mail…

…but I couldn’t find one for ideas for prepping and using dried mushrooms.

Husband doesn’t like mushrooms, I think because of texture, but I don’t think he was opposed to the flavor in some Trader Joe mushroom powder

Anyway, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. So I bought a variety of dried mushrooms.

So far I soaked some of a “melange cultive” in water, and plan to use them in a "breakfast "/ egg casserole.
