Yay! Pomegranate season is back!!!!

Confused about my OG post announcing a nifty lil trick, but … no link? Seems I have along history of doing this :joy:

I always use this method and it takes less than 2 minutes. Rarely any mess, either, but I do it over the sink into a water-filled bowl.

Can’t waitttt for pom season to start again

I bought 2 last week. They had very little juice and no real flavour, just astringency.

Might be a bit early in the year. I never juice them. I pop all the arils out, put them in a large storage container in the fridge, and add them to my morning yogurt. I smash a few up to let the juices mingle with the yogurt, then dig in.

I wish it would never end…

I wish I had the patience to extract arils. I just juice everything!

A dear friend showed me a method that takes less than 2 min. Cut along the equator, break open, stretch the halves a bit, put a bowl of water in the sink, then get a spoon and smack TF out of the half (upside down, of course). If you use the edge they pop out even faster.

I’d posted it in this thread before: Yay! Pomegranate season is back!!!! - #41 by linguafood

Same here. When pomegranates are in season, it’s a fresh pressed pomegranate and citrus mix every morning.
