You eat well indeed! Both look great!
Thanks Barney, I just might pass on dinner tonight!
Our grandson’s celebration of turning one happened today at noon. The son in law made plentiful noshes for lunch, including turkey sausage balls, fruit and nuts plate, a cream, cheese, and scallion quiche with a hash brown crust, brisket queso and chips, cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing, and a number of options at the bar. I have zero will power around such things. Oh, and cake, for which we all sang.m
Ricotta fritters with mortadella, pistachios, truffle salt.
Leite’s milk mayonnaise, aioli style for dipping.
Milk mayo? Plz elaborate.
If you go to Leite Culinaria, it will be well explained.

One pan hotdish, to use up a partial box of beef broth and open packets of frozen vegetables. Super comfort food. My husband liked this a lot – came back for 3rds.
Half pound browned ground beef, 2 C beef broth, half packet onion soup mix, 1 can diced tomatoes, 4 C. frozen vegetables (corn, peas, green beans, bell peppers/onion mix) 1 C. elbow macaroni, 1 tsp. dried oregano.
Dessert was rhubarb upside down cake. I froze a lot of gifted rhubarb - 40 cups, diced - last summer and have calculated I can make 2 desserts a month to get ready for our own mid-May first harvest of the backyard patch.
Lunch pictures (missed the edit window while getting our evening meal in the oven). The cake looked better when topped with whipped cream…
The cake looks great as is!! Two rhubarb desserts a month till the next crop is in?? Be still, my heart! That’s fantastic!
40 cups!! I have serious rhubarb envy!
