What's for lunch (2026)

The shipping to CA is probably expensive and I’m worried about sending things across the border right now… We have a couple of stores here that specialize in hot sauce and I live fairly close to Chinatown so I will see if I can find it locally. Thanks for your help

I’m pretty sure it’s made in-house, so not a widely available commercial product.

But I hope you find something similar  :crossed_fingers:t2:

Whaddayaknow! One of our hot sauce purveyors has a kumquat hot sauce! Their store is located in the west end so the next time I am there I will have to make a point of picking some up.

Interesting! Flavors seem to tend more to Latin than Asian, but why not give it a shot?

Neat tights! Did you buy them in Berlin? I know you’ve mentioned in the past you like to buy your tights when you’re in Berlin for the summer. Oh and your salad looks good too!

You got it! I really love these — a touch of spring while it’s cold out still/again :bouquet:

A delectable hoagie for our trip home from an Italian deli at Central Market: Liscio’s seeded bread (IYKYK), olive oil, oregano, mortadella, salami, provolone, roasted red peppers, lettuce.

Smoked Gouda and fig sandwich, third time trying to melt the Gouda; gets warm and soft but doesn’t quite melt. Milk bread was the bread of choice.

Lunch today was a citrus salad. I tossed a little spring mix with a little evoo and lemon juice then garnished with grapefruit and orange segments. I’m normally partial to having fruit in my salads but I must admit this combination was pretty good.

Gougere style puffs filled with egg salad, finely minced red onion, crème fraiche and caviar.
I forgot to post these at the time, but I made profiteroles this morning which reminded me of these delicious little morsels.
