Thank you!
That’s an impressive first attempt at gnocchi!
Lotsa’ veggies on the menu yesterday . Zucs, peppers, tomatoes vinaigrette; more eggplant done in the agrodolce style and grilled lamb chops perfect for nibbling on.
We also had an incredibly delicious 2005 grand cru Bordeaux courtesy of DH’s wine cellar.
Fig blackberry cake for dessert, all in all, a lovely start of the Labor Day weekend!
Dang! If we weren’t having two legs of lamb and a bunch of veg sides for our potluck today I’d be experiencing serious food envy! Looks faboski.
I’m sure you will have a more than wonderful dining experience today!
Thank you… I watched a couple of youtube videos (including Preppy Kitchen-John Kanell) and used a fork to roll them, so they would have those nice ridges.
I did microwave the potatoes. I had no issues nor problems.
I’ll definitely make some more and freeze them for later “quick meal” nights.
Next up…sweet potato (or yam) gnocchi with browned butter and sage sauce!
Sheetpan chicken fajitas and Texas/Spanish rice recipe from Homesick Texan with half-measures of the Cumin/onion/tomato paste coating, per her cookbook.
This sounds good… I’m smoking a chicken today with homemade fajita seasonings, and your peppers and onions are reminding me we need those as sides…
Deli turkey and lacy Finlandia Swiss on thick cut sourdough I picked up in my travels late last week, with a honey-mustard-mayo schmeared on the inside, and grilled under a press on my grill pan.
Comin’ around again, finishing up the bits and bobs of the fridge. Added some Comté shavings and twirly breadsticks for a little crunch, and a lot of fresh herbs .
And dessert will be a little Jack Horner cake, this has a filling of plums and a little raspberry compote. Too warm to cut just yet, looking forward to a slice later!
This sounds and looks heavenly!
All looks lovely, but I LOVE breadsticks (with butter of course : )
I hope to get a slice shot later…maybe!
I am in constant awe of your baking production. Do you bake something every day? Who eats it all?
Looks lovely, as ever
Simples after tidying up the house: an ear of grilled local corn I saved from being tossed last night & nuked in the MW, slathered with Vermont creamery butter, then showered with salt & Penzey’s Cajun seasoning.
As always, NannyB! Your collection of plates is very nice too.
