Quiche again, this time Honey Bomb tomatoes, Irish cheddar, peperoncini, a little ham or bacon would have been a good addition.
Red cabbage slaw, radish, clementines, scallions, crushed fennel seeds. This was dressed in a honey mustard vinaigrette. I’ve made this slaw 3-4 times now and it’s a winner for us.

Taiwanese Pork Rice bowl from a small fast casual spot called Boru in LdnOnt, located in a strip mall with a Wendy’s, a Firehouse Subs, an M + M Meats and a QDoba.

First time to try Boru. I liked it.

I am not really a Ramen or a noodle soup as main course person.

I usually order a rice bowl, when I have a choice of noodle soup or rice bowl.

I am adding 3 recipe links for people interested in making Taiwanese pork rice bowls at home.

Lamb patty, Gouda cheese, tapenade, tomato with chervil on sourdough toast.
One hot TJ Italian sausage was added to the lamb along with, onion, garlic, a little bread, green herbs. The bread and the patty were griddled simultaneously , added the cheese, covered to melt, a swipe of tapenade on the bread and lunch was served. The hot sausage was enough for a little mouth tingling.

Fantastic! I’m on my way to Berlin, so I’ll tuck that away in my brain somewhere for our return. Thankfully, we’ll be close to an Italian market again this summer

A Big Al from a bagel place uptown that did NOT lose power (we’ve been out since 7pm last night):

chicken, bacon, mozzarella, tomato, lettuce, avocado on a toasted poppyseed bagel.

Eaten on campus at my PIC’s office to charge our various electronics & where there’s wifi

The evening news said that your area of PA was getting hammered badly. Hope the power is back on very soon!
