Thank you! I’m gonna keep that factor to myself.
Happiest of birthdays, @CaitlinM!
Wonderful indulgences!
Oh YES they did! Enjoy your treats, and happy birthday!
I think you’d like Georgian Khachapuri with an egg on top.
Have you ever had Peinerli? It’s more of a Black Sea Greek thing. Basically a cheesy pizza boat without tomato sauce
Happy birthday;
Pienerli looks very good, but doesn’t seem to have egg.
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday! Lovely indulgences from your friends!
Cornmeal griddle cakes, fried eggs, last of the leftover roasted tomato salsa, and salad…for health, of course
Dry-aged salad from two nights ago, with fresh bacon & a little shredded roti chicken added.
The salad aged much better than expected
A favorite Cantonese dish, pan-fried crispy noodles with seafood. I haven’t had it since before the shutdown, and my favorite Hong Kong cafe didn’t survive. The proprietors of this restaurant, Pho Le in Berkeley, are Vietnamese, and the seafood here was heavy on surimi and Vietnamese fish balls, not my favorites, with just one shrimp and two little calamari bits, no scallops or filet bits.
The owner of that Hong Kong cafe has closed and reopened in different locations about four times in the past 20 years, so maybe he’ll turn up again.
Congratulations on this voyage! Good wishes for the next one!
Thank you!
