The one at Baretta is also quite good and I had it also once at Cheeseboard Collective
Very inspiring! Must research…
Roasted RedPepper/Tomato Soup cooked in Instant Pot. Rye bread and a slice of brie on the side. A sprinkle of chives from the garden. Will be lunch for the next 2 days
A symphony in green: a toasted slice of homemade sourdough a friend gifted me in exchange for a bottle of that luscious Vietnamese kumquat hot sauce I gave her, topped with smashed avo & chopped scallions.
Back to basic brown…lentil soup with a plethora of veggies…( just had to say that) made with some homemade stock.
Dessert was a One Banana bread with a cinnamon sugar crispy top, banana ice cream on the side. The bread recipe (baking mischief) called for a 5x3” mold, I used a 5x5 Pyrex as that was possibly the closest approximation in size that I have. Baking time was close to the recommended time.
Whoa bruv, you don’t F around! Those are two beauts.
Thanks bruv Tuna mix had chopped pickles, hot sauce, plenty of fresh cracked pepper and mayo, 'twas tasty.
Two scrambled eggs from my buddy’s hens with Italian parsley and scallions, s&p, fried up in ghee and butter.
One humongous artichoke, this did not fit in my 3qt. Instantpot, I had to use a 4 qt. pot and it just made it. It was not the biggest in the bin at TJ’s, there were larger ones.
The vinaigrette was honey mustard from the NYT, I substituted clementine vinegar for the cider vinegar. This dressing stays very well emulsified, and it was a nice complement to the artichoke, I added a dash more vinegar.
Dessert was sour cream ice cream (Lady and the pups) with the addition of fresh lemon jam. On other occasions, I’ve added an entire Meyer lemon that was zapped. Lovely scoopable texture, the sorbet, as it is called, lends itself to many variations.
My TJs has been having major supply issues, and I have not seen artichokes in a while. That one’s a real whopper if it didn’t fit in a 3 qt IP!
There was one there that was the size of a cantaloupe! Scary
Kua gling - southern Thai dry curry with pork, following this recipe:
But for the paste I just added some crushed fresh turmeric to some red curry paste I had made previously, as it looked like the red curry paste has the same ingredients as the southern curry paste except the turmeric.
Happy 29th birthday! How many is this?
Happy birthday! I absolutely adore Leonidas pralines. A special treat my mom would get for us on occasion.
