Eclectic and accidentally vegan last night. A green salad with radish, cucumber and kalamata olives - I am loving the addition of lovage which grows downstairs in a restaurant kitchen, dijon dressing. Some rapini. Braised tofu. Brown rice with lentils. My partner’s chilled zucchini, ginger and (more) lovage soup in a glass. Light for this hot, muggy Toronto weather. Not the prettiest photo but…

Lowish carbs, highish proteins
Sauteed romaine/hot Italian sausage/leftover grilled veg(corn, zucchini, red onion)/pickled red onions/evoo/lotsa garlic a good shot of green Tabasco and Parmigiano Reggiano
Pretty tasty for a fridge clean out.

Ha…what?

Using freshly shucked Snow Crab ( currently on special at Costco ) leg meat to elevate an ordinary, run-of-the-mill ‘Egg Foo-Yung’ dish…end result - " Scrambled under-done, silken organic eggs with Snow Crab Meat, Tiger Prawns, Yellowing Chives and Scallions ".…great with rice!

Had another busy afternoon and evening, so my DH made dinner again. He made our family favorite angel hair alla crudaiola topped with seared chicken breast. It required some tweaking to get it to the way I normally make it for our son to enjoy it (more olive oil, salt, and Parm Regg ).

Hamburgers with grilled Martin’s potato rolls. Available at Kroger now. Yay! Leftover buttered corn off the cob. And Chili Cheese Fritos. Good.

We really like this seasoning for burgers too.

He’s got them down. We had more of these tonight, and he’s promising another batch tomorrow - yay!

Classic BLT tonight with garden tomato. More of the homemade chips and dill pickles.

BF wanted one thing, I another. He used my Portuguese pepper sauce to make himself soup with chicken stock, tofu, egg, a little rice, etc. I used almost the last of my kimchi (which I believe I made in December 2022 - time for a new batch!) to make kimchi fried rice with a crispy egg. We were both happy.
