Wegners. Right next to the crew-dites.
J/k, it’s at the deli. It’s the processed shit, so it melts fantastically well, but is also sharp & flavorful like a cheddah.

Interesting. I buy Kraft Deli Deluxe a few times a year, but I’ve never seen sharp processed cheese. (I’ve also never looked, so that might be why.)
Tharr you be. Maybe other places carry this as well. It’s pretty fantastic on a grilled cheese.
“This is a diverse cheese that accompanies many food items without overpowering them.”
This is a weird description of a cheese.
Sounds like the perfect person to hang with hahaha. Yeah, weird.
It’s good, tho ![]()
I love how you spell

Thank you. I like playing with language.
Last night BF made us old school ground beef tacos, homemade chips and guac, instead of the tofu salad i’d asked for. He’s a keeper.
Cheesy lentil casserole! My daughter found this recipe a couple of years ago when she was experimenting with vegetarianism. It was on a U.S. federal government website and I have no idea how she came across it. It’s very simple and we didn’t have high hopes but wanted to be encouraging. It turned out to be a family favorite.
But it looks like in the last month or two the snap related recipes were all taken down. I was able to find the same recipe on a MA site happily. Yes, it’s super simple but you don’t want to mess too much with your kids’ comfort dishes!
We made it with rancho gordo pardina lentils and had it with rice (this was PIC’s second helping, we were too eager to eat first so nice plating wasn’t a priority
)
We also had some bread machine lemon loaf for dessert, another kid fave, I should add it to the bread machine thread if it’s not there already
Looks totally legit! I’ll have to bookmark that WoL recipe.
It’s fantastic - better than any restaurant I’ve found in the burbs for sure. I had beautiful gai lan, too - really made the dish. Just be sure to double the sauce, especially if you’re starting with dried noodles. Mine were well rehydrated tonight and I still needed a little extra moisture on top of the doubled amount.
Your daughter reminds me of myself when I was a kid (I was a vegetarian at an early age). I hope my kid will develop an iota of interest in food.
The lentil recipe is right up my alley. TY!
A nasty day that began with early morning freezing rain & continued to be icky & chilly into the evening.
I was drawing a blank as to what to make for us tonight, and my dude suggested Thai curry. Hold a gun to my head, why don’t ya?
I’m always up for a nice curry, and it had been DAYS since we had any proper sssssspicy food, so Thai curry it was — pacifically green Thai curry with BTS, peas (for my dude), the cutest baby bok choy, red pepper for color, and Chinese eggplant. Lotsa extra garlic, ginger & EIGHT bird’s eye peppers this time to start with,
adding 3 more to the pot bc I wanted to s-w-e-a-t.
Came out very, very spicy indeed, which had my PIC’s nose running & chugging a beer to cool down. I loved the heat level. It went to eleven ![]()
'twas also a great way to use up a small amount of chicken stock that I had in the freezer for the curry base.
Chicken, sweet potato, broccoli and brussels. And salad. Had a very hard Lagree class this morning, so I wanted a healthy meal to go along with it. I’m trying to eat healthy until Thursday. First Flames game of the season as a spectator, not working behind the scenes, and I want some pump cheese nachos and bad draft beer!
Sounds like a solid plan.
Miso soup with spinach, gai lan, silken tofu, daikon, shiitakes and button mushrooms. A little sludgy (this is the last of the brown miso, so things should improve once I switch things up) but pretty nice.
