Someone at the farmer’s market I go to was selling purslane about 15 years ago and I really enjoyed it. Sadly it was the only time I’ve ever been able to find it.

This evening we got our first thunderstorm of the season with lightning and everything! I guess that means spring is here! Won’t be long and ir will warm up and the snow we have keft will melt. Dinner tonight was Singapore noodles with chicken and carrots.

Food-cart style chicken kebabs on the Big Green Egg. All the usual suspects: pita, raita, avo-hummus, Greek salad.

I love calculating the ever reducing average price of garden produce per meal. You’ll be eating $100 salads before you know it

When I’ve had two big harvest of snoop peas, I’ll come ready at once and also a mint patch begging to be used, I started to sauté the peas and butter, salt, pepper, and then add chopped mint. A surprisingly good combination.

Nice.
I have only had/made the Gamjatang (Spicy Pork Bone Stew). No Carrots but lots of Baby Nappa Cabbage and Perilla Leaves as well as crushed Perilla Seeds.

Delicious

Exactly.

Do you just use hot water as a base, or broth?
