The secret ingredient to focaccia. Looks great!

Contact dermatitis from something I touched while weeding my garden, possibly Queen Anne’s lace. It’s painful and disgusting!

We were camping and cooked dinner in stages last night:

Nectarine, heirloom tomato, and burrata Caprese with local sourdough baguette crostini
Grilled sliced pork chop
Burger patty, pesto sauteed zucchini, and ww spaghetti marinara

I was pissed as hell that the other tomahawk pork chops we’d bought the day before we’re spoiled. So we pivoted.

A beautiful meal! (That focaccia! :::swoon::: ) Sorry about the pinky - hope the UC visit was able to help going forward.

Thanks. I have a follow-up appointment tomorrow.

Wait - you bought them the day before and they were spoiled? Hope you’ll get your $ back on those!

I just made corn ice cream! It’s so tasty. I was thinking of what to do with all these corn cobs that didn’t create more of them. Like, a dish that needed cobs and not kernels. And there it was.

Pros and cons of grilled vs regular romaine Caesar?

You know I did!!

Hmm… different texture and flavor. I like the charred bits. And it’s less watery. It’s quite different!

Norwegian “bbq cut” salmon fillets rubbed with bbq rub and roasted low and slow. Side of lentil salad and greens with a dressing of preserved, lemon, honey, etc. It was fine. We’re not enthusiastic salmon eaters here.

A use-it-up Breakfast-For-Dinner meal:

Sliced sautéed mushrooms and spinach from last night’s pizza, some chopped tomatoes, and lacy Finlandia Swiss in a half-assed omelet of sorts with chives in and on top of the eggs A slice of buttered sourdough toast.

I finally had a summer tomato worthy of a BLT! With Dukes and little gem lettuce on lightly toasted rye. Delicious! No pic, you know what a BLT looks like.

:musical_note: :notes: :musical_note: It’s just another mellow Monday :musical_note: :notes: :musical_note: … well, for me. My PIC had to learn them bright and bushy-tailed minds something important; I had PT and did some light house cleaning. Such a traditional couple, we are

Dinner was hatch chile cheeseburgers: Wegmans chuck & brisket patties pan-fried closer to the medium side of MR this time, but still juicy — it’s a great mix, sesame buns with ketchup/mayo for me, ketchup/mustard for him. Shredded iceberg, thick sliced red onion, chilies.

Grillo’s pickle on the side, plus a couple handfuls of LW fries from the air-fryer with the German yin & yang of fry sauces.

Best part was all that I had to contribute was the iceberg shredding and the onion cutting

Oh, and guess what I picked up this afternoon?

PS: I meant to reply to the main thread, not @GretchenS specifically, although that BLT sounds delish!

Mushroom/Boursin fettuccine makes a reappearance with the addition of TJ’s grilled chicken strips. This time I followed the cooking directions and didn’t turn them into jerky. Getting ready for the demo on my water damage tomorrow. Whee!!
