Your celebratory meals look fabulous. Happy 23rd to you and the BF!
We also went to an Oktoberfest Fest.
Homemade Brats, Kraut, Potato Salad, Cheese and Bretzeln.
No pictures of the others food (I was way too distracted by the Keg once we got there ) but I did take one of the Pretzels that I made before we headed over to the Party.
Wow! those pretzels look bomb!
I used to go to a farmers market with a stand staffed by a German couple that made their own pretzels. If you wanted one of their pretzels you would have to get there the nano second the market opened since they sold out FAST. They sold other stuff too - I don’t even remember what else they sold - I just remember the pretzels. The market has moved to a really hard-to-get-to part of town by bus (I don’t drive) so I haven’t been back since they moved
Vielen Dank
Those look awesome!
Thank you. I am feeling pretty proud of them.
My second year making them and this time I had Lye to work with so much better than the first. I also need 50 of them this year.
Couple days ago, made stewed Romano beans and tomatoes with over easy eggs on top. Focaccia on the side. It’s today’s lunch too, minus bread. Green Tabasco for a little spice and tang. Very homey on a rainy day.
thank you!
those are beautiful!
thanks!
Happy Happy Anniversary!
thank you!
Tonight I made wok-fried orange roughy in black bean sauce served over reheated quinoa-short grain brown rice. Side of dry-fried green beans (repurposed from leftover) with crispy shiitakes and Chinese pickled radish. Leftover gingery cucumber salad. Good and thrifty.
Made a big batch of baked chicken, sausage and rice with extra veggies, had a leg and some rice for a snack, will cool it down overnight and freeze most of it.
Be nice to yourself tomorrow🎂!
I try to be nice to myself (and others, of course) every day
