Pizza Saturday. Base of tomato and a little Ricotta. Topped with a little more Ricotta , pre cooked sliced white potato , Mozzarella, sliced green onion , dusted with calabrian oregano. And the final top of Prosciutto with a drizzle of hot honey . Cheers .

Tonight’s dinner was Homemade Lentil Hot Pockets, mashed potatoes and green beans. Another vegetarian idea for @iheartcooking .

These could be made vegan with vegan cheese. I did use margarine on the bread (which may or may not be vegan). I read some are vegan and some are not.

Last night was my PIC’s book party, hosted by dear friends who live just across the street from where we are staying this weekend. My dude was slightly embarrassed about the whole affair, but it was just nice to see so many of our friends & catch up. While we very much enjoy living in Philly this fall, last night was a reminder of how much we miss our friends, too :heart:

We could not figure out what made them so special, and I made a point to ask the woman who brought them… apparently it was just TJ’s coarse Dijon plus mustard powder, even though I could’ve sworn there was soy or maggi sauce involved.

We got home just before midnight, and we’ll be leaving for the city shortly. Chonky’s gonna be very happy to see us <3

I had a bit of roasted red pepper sauce, the mozzarella and the caramelized onions on there for baking. The arugula, proscuitto and a sprinkle of grated Parm-Reg was put on after I pulled it from the oven.

Five years ago, I made this exact same meal. And I didn’t know it was a dinner twin until I read my FB Memories after I had decided tonight’s dinner.

Meatloaf with mushroom-shallot gravy, sour cream mashed potatoes, and carrots, peas, and corn (didn’t have the corn last time).

Wine.

Did a bunch of laundry, then went to the Viet market to pick up a bag of baby shanghai to have with leftover chongqing chicken.

A brewsky from back home to drank with.

Homemade diner dinners are the best dinners. Tile fish oreganata, lemon rosemary potatoes, cucumber salad with mint.

Top sirloin on the stove top. Baby spinach in a raspberry vinaigrette, with a nice Reyes Point blue cheese, walnuts, and fresh berries.

We enjoyed another excellent dinner at Jessica’s in Fanwood, NJ, including pistachio crusted 1/2 Australian rack of lamb with asparagus, celery root purée, braised Belgium endive, red wine cherry sauce; seafood fettuccini with Mussels, shrimp, scallops, white wine lobster sauce, chilies, broccoli rabe, grilled lemon; jumbo lump crab meat crepe with wild mushrooms, lobster sauce; gnocchi with Nueske’s bacon, chanterelle mushrooms, brandy cream, parmigiano reggiano, white truffle oil. It all went great with an excellent cabernet and Shiraz.
