I also tried someone’s “fool-proof” SBE method of starting the eggs in cold water and boiling for 8 min. This is not a SBE by any stretch of the imagination, but we ate them anyway
Back to the drawing board, I guess.
I think it’s supposed to be 6.5 min tops with that method.

Are soft boiled eggs timing affected by elevation?

I’ve been making omurice the past couple of days for myself. It’s a great start to my day and I love the sweet/savoury sauce on top, that makes the dish for me.
Breakfast is usually a low maintenence affair at my place. I got some spinach in my CSA this week so I used it to make eggs florentine for breakfast this morning.
