A 2-egg scramble with the rest of the sautéed spinach from last night and a pinch of s/p, and a slice of toasted brioche bread (Pepperidge Farm) with apricot jam.
Sourdough French toast made from the left overs from a loaf bought earlier in the week, oven baked ‘bargain’ bacon and tangelos. The ‘bargain’ bacon was $2.98/lb and shrinkage was just about 50%. The tangelos were nice and juicy. I will occasionally buy a few of the bargain bacon packages and freeze them for another time. This time I wanted bacon for this meal and didn’t have the usual thick sliced type @ $6/lb on hand. I was a little shocked at how much it shrank. Nevertheless it was very tasty and everything was washed down by a glass of diluted peach nectar.
