What's for breakfast? (2024)

:joy:

It’s ok; I’ve never been shy about my shortcomings :scream:

Frozen White Castle burgers & coffee yum! had to do a quick Walmart order & they were taunting me. Yeah there’s a whole bunch of foods from our misguided youth that everyone revisits… and result in either WHY? or yeah OK fine maybe again in a few years. The WCB’s are def latter. If you never had a WCB they’re quite comparable to the basic tiny Mcd’s cheeseburger. Both for me OK as fuel.

Rib stickin’ brekkie! I see you are in the catsup/ketchup camp for 'taters.

Replying to myself: well, I promised to do a whole Egg McMuffin and I did:

And the whole thing. I left the yolk runny because I like it that way, and I used white American cheese instead of yellow because the yellow reminds me of my kindergarten lunches. I still will not make a grilled yellow American cheese on white bread sandwich for myself :joy:.

Waay too much butter for Mickey D’s. But I was happy.

WCBs often reside in my fridge, thawing from frozen. They keep me away from far more harmful spur-of-the-moment choices.

Today was our final opportunity to grab another magical pie from Angelo’s, and so we did :stuck_out_tongue:
We were told it would take about an hour, so we took care of other food & beer shopping & found proper parking when we thought it might be time.

It was not. Standing in the cold for 20 min along with all the other pizza fanatics wasn’t fun, but it was still absolutely, totally worth it

I give you the Trenton pie:

whole milk mozz, EVOO, oregano, pecorino romano, dolloped with fresh ground tomatoes

We have more than half the pie left for tomorrow’s dinner

Look, ma! #nobones

Yup, and I don’t mind if some catsup sneaks it’s way onto my eggs(as long as they’re scrambled )

I knew someone who liked grape jelly in his scrambled eggs.

I need to unread that.

Are the scallions on this controversial? I’m in the Boston area, so I didn’t grow up with this and added them to cut through the richness a little. I posted this on a social media account and apparently this is sacrilege? Weird!

Probably too spicy for the deep south

Thanks! Here I was viewing it as innocuous garnish and was somewhat confused by the smattering of negative responses (although it’s the internet, so, I don’t know what I was actually surprised…).

I guess I felt like “some” fruit with my yogurt today

Mango that had to go, YUGE booberries, a golden kiwi, lotsa pomegranate mixed in with a little Fage.

It was an idiotic amount of fruit/food, so we’re saving the rest for dessert tonight.
