Remnants from a tasty batch of olive oil popovers. I stuff these deflated ones with chicken pot pie filling like a baked potato.
Breakfast of champions! That’ll last ya till dinner!
“Deconstructed” focaccia with prosciutto cotto, burrata, arugula, and pistachio pesto.
Deconstructed in that I took the ginormous top slice of focaccia off & made it an open-faced sanguich. SASHIMI!
I love the judicial use of ketchup.
Sriracha!
Seafood hash with halibut, potatoes, bacon, shallots, and scallions. The last dregs of tomato-basil soup on the side.
There are people in my house who would be over-the-moon if I served this up for breakfast. Well done!
there’s a lovely scene in season 2 of The Bear where Sydney makes an omelette for Natalie with great care. she finished it with some crushed potato chips and chives. for some reason i had some chips on hand (a rarity) as well as some chanterelles and really good cheese (Brebirousse d’Argental) – i think she used Boursin. hence,
cut in half and put over toast.
Apple dutch baby with blackberry-maple syrup.
The Fuji apples are from our tree, and the blackberries were gleaned here in town last summer.
A stew of beans, greens, ham, tomatillos, and chiles, with some eggs. Cornbread out of shot.
This was an opportunity to use up leftovers from the week that were lingering in the fridge!
Damn. Now that’s a proper start to the day.
Very hearty breakfast, followed by a 7km walk!
