I am consistently in awe of the kinds of food you put away early in the day. Ima basic besh when it comes to breakfast — as evidenced in my boring posts of yogurt & fruit, with the occasional egg dish thrown in
Ages ago our little cafe used to make those for the starving students who had money. They were a def step up from the McD thing, with the quality ingredients. The crunchy parts of the English muffin were my favorite. When I cooked there, many ordered them sans egg. That’s the way I liked those salt bombs.
Not so basic today, mofos!
Two Stramme Mäxchen: two half slices of that fab homadama we’re obsessed with, garlic & herb cream cheese, city ham, shredded mozz, two lovely fried eggs — even if one of them baroque
Guess I was hongry. At 2:30pm
Now we’re talkin!
Scramble with fresh Spanish chorizo, both red and green onions, and 'Merican cheese. Storebought corn tortillas with sriracha mayo for scooping up the eggs. I ate two tortillas and all my eggs.
Leftover bok choy & the last slice of that fab homadama loaf topped with garlic & herb cream cheese & the last few slices of San Daniele. Sustenance for the road trip
Stuffing and Pumpkin Pie for Breakfast. Yum.
So, I’m changing the rules of my No Sweet and No Junk regimen until Jan 1.
Fruit pies, holiday breads, and fruitcakes are breakfast, not dessert.
My PIC and I shared a very good turkey club on a toasted sesame bagel from a local bakery.
There you go!
Corned beef hash and fried eggs at my new local cafe. I was asked if I was alright with baked beans in it ( I was not). The question was phrased as though this was standard. At least they asked , in another cafe a few miles my bubble squeak had beans mixed in and no mention of this on the menu or on ordering. I’m hoping it’s not an East Kent thing, otherwise I’ll need to be vigilant when ordering.
Anyway it was delicious, a crispy and not at all greasy hash and two perfectly cooked fried eggs.
Cold grilled chicken.
Weekend holiday days require a large shot of protein in the morning.
Part of my nutritional breakfast, the other part was a bowl of geezer buds with fruits and nuts.
Feta and strawberry jam on a toasted English muffin. This was my Pop’s favorite when I was growing up, I love the sweet/salty contrast and it’s a great way for me to use up that shyte ton of feta that I bought

That made me spit out my middle-aged lady drink
Now I’m thinking of Euell Gibbons, a back-to-natural foods author who touted Grape-Nuts on 1970s commercials.
Glad I could help
All Bran Buds, even geezier than Grape Nuts
Sunshine just woke and asked for some breakfast. It appears her appetite is returning, as she almost never eats breakfast. I know this is just oatmeal, but (for me) its great news.
