"What does the inside of your refrigerator say about you?"

I had 2 cartons until earlier this week, and I shop twice a week because we have a small fridge! Also, my baking is in short spurts, and small amounts.

Condiments are still a problem. And this is after a purge and clean.

This makes me feel so much better.

Haha nice. To be fair, I recently started storing nuts in the fridge and the take up 1/3 of the top shelf.

Argh. I just realized that the fact that i do not store my half used Better Than Bouillon in the fridge is problematic.
Moved now. Though a bit late.
Thank you for the photo, Christina.
With all that sodium i assumed it would be good. My father used to have a saying about assuming something.
I also just realized that my crisper is full of beer and my fruits and veg are aimlessly wandering around my refrigerator in search of a home. Hmmm… Maybe I should fix that.

I store my nuts in the freezer, if you have more room there.

Last time I went at fridge org, I bought a turntable and some pull-out bins for condiments – I think it has helped both corral them and make them more accessible / usable.

Now the other matter of how many condiments is too many condiments is exactly like my pasta situation – there are never too many.

You inspired me to start a condiment inventory thread:

I have what used to be known as a “tickler file” - except mine is on the computer.
whenever I start up, it displays ‘things you’re supposed to be doing today’

“Clean out Refrigerator” pops up every six months. anything that is seriously out of date (i.e. more than 6 months since prior . . .) gets tossed.
condiments are the worst offenders. one cannot buy two tbsps of sauce “X” . . . used for a dish months ago that nobody liked , , , anyway . . .

I sometimes try to give away condiments or other stuff I don’t like to friends who would like them.

Interesting! How often does that work out?

Maybe half the time! I also give one neighbour overflow farmers’ market and homegrown vegetables, and sometimes baked goods, when I buy too much.

My husband says we have more than necessary. But he is behind some of the purchases!

Yes, Montana huckleberry jam. I hope it is the real thing!:bear:

Yep! Huckleberry Mountain seems to deliver the real thing, though they are from Idaho.
I have an open jar plus a backup.

Absolutely, a back up!

Which could start another whole discussion: Which items in your fridge/freezer/pantry/condiments always have a backup?
