Yup, I have a good recipe from a friend, but just don’t have the energy.
Waste of a loaf, not load
Needed to use up some Yukon gold potatoes that were about to start growing roots, so I made a loaf of potato bread.
Very tasty, but kinda delicate. I wonder if making this w bread flour and more aggressive kneading would help that. The recipe is for two loaves. I only made one. Use 2tsp yeast. Cut everything else in half. Recipe here:

That is spectacular. Hope it brings in $$$$
Beauty!
The school raised almost $900, which is great for a small school. We have about 285 students and are not in a wealthy area of town
Brioche sandwich buns from Baking with Dorie. This is a 2 day process with most of the attention given to the dough on day 1. The buns baked up nice and light with a tender crumb. Rich and slightly sweet. I weighted the dough, each bun was exactly 90grms and i got 12 plus a tiny one. They are really a perfect size for sanwiches. Dorie says they freeze well.
That is great! Your contribution was lovely!!
Those look amazing! Do you get the recipe from a cookbook, or is online somewhere?
This is the recipe
Gorgeous!!
Thank you for sharing! My dad’s family is Polish but I’ve never had these, they look great!
I’ve been on a restricted diet - smooth, no chewing for last 6 days (from dental procedure). Never realized how much I’d miss chewing! Vichyssoise, eggs, smoothies, mash potatoes getting pretty boring. Seemed like the perfect time for a basque cheesecake. So easy quick and delicious. I see many comments that it ‘must’ not have any fruit or sauce - I disagree and love a raspberry or blackberry purée.
Happy birthday to whoever is celebrating! You?
Thank you. Yes, I was.
That’s beautiful! Which recipe did you use?
Impressive!
