Oh, I have a number of seagulls-stealing-food stories (not always my food, luckily).
Want something when you’re starving that’s quick and delicious?
I take a homemade bagel chip (you can use any sturdy cracker) spread on a dab of mayo, then a dab of TJ chili crunch hummus (I add a little olive oil to container) top with a little TJ hot (not very) Pico de Gallo.
Very tasty, no clean up to speak of.
It’s pumpkin spice season at TJ’s again!
meh.
Meh: TJ’s pumpkin ice cream. Someone I know is very into this seasonal flavor and shared some with me. The base flavor is good and it’s not overly sweetened, but the cinnamon is much too strong, IMO, and kind of overwhelms the pumpkin.
yay for tjs pumpkin sheet cake with cc frosting!
Nay for the strawberry shortcake sandwich cookies. These have a strange off flavor. I didn’t like them at all and my kiddo finds them so-so.
I haven’t enjoyed any of the strawberry bakery items all that much this season.
These are packaged, and quite gross in my opinion.
You would think this would be a hard item to ruin🤷🏻♀️
Will you return them? Curious because when I get something really gross I do take it back so they know. If it’s just sort of meh I don’t.
My son says he will still eat them but he’s not crazy about them. I think I will probably will return them.
Noted! I saw them after I made my last comment and kept walking! Shame. I typically enjoy strawberry baked goods.
I recently tried these and really like them! Even my picky sister said they were good! The cumin is just barely noticeable (my sister isn’t a fan of cumin…though I am) and they are a great alternative to chips! Have other HO members tried them? And if so, what did you think of them?
(Thank you @linguafood for suggesting I post this here. )
You’re very welcome
Also, looks like a few fellow users tried them. Peep here:
Interesting…I feel the “dirt” nuances come from the cumin ingredient more than the lentils. And I like the low salt aspect…too many snack foods are salt bombs for me.
Cumin is powerful.
These are pretty standard indian papads (“poppadum” in britishized indian food names) — good as intended, but also as a chip and other off label uses
If you like the general idea, try the Crunchy Curls, which are also papad by another name (and shape) - they’re always in stock, and one of my favorite snacks at TJs.
Thank you for your comment…I trust especially your comments due to your ethnic heritage (there’s no hidden meaning in my comment.)
I’ll try the other product you recommended when I get to TJ’s next!
This one. Big YEA!
Thank you❣️
