Best I can tell Nature’s Promise is a store brand exclusive to the stores owned by the company that owns the stores you mention.
Correct. Both S&S and Giant are owned by Ahold Delhaize, a Dutch company. They also own Hannaford in New England, where I see/buy the Nature’s Promise products, and Food Lion in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
Very helpful info, thanks!
Ah Royal Ahole as I call them. Destroyer of the once beloved Giant Food.
TJ’s big box of green tea teabags, big NAY. The bags leak tea leaves.
YEA for the Espiral Vinho Verde! I first tried the lightly effervescent vinho verde when I visited Portugal in 2005. I fell in love with it then as it’s IMHO neither sweet nor dry and I love things which are carbonated. It’s not easily found where I lived in Japan and was happy to find it at TJ’s for just $4.99. YEA to the cheddar cheese with scotch bonnet and red pepper. It has a nice little kick to it.
Yea — Green Goddess seasoning. Just an easy way to add some flavor to simple dishes. I’ve stirred it into sautés along with red pepper flakes for one-dish meals (I also do this with the Agloo e Olio blend).
Soft yea — mini dark chocolate almond butter cups. About a third of a tub of these somehow ended up in the bag I brought home from a potluck (not being coy, I didn’t put them in there). The almond flavor is good, but the filling lacks the bit of salt in the PB cups, so they taste sweeter and not as balanced.
YEA for the stracciatella. It’s really delish. My only complaint would be how very, very quickly it goes bad. Once opened, ya better finish it within 2-3 days, or you will encounter some nastiness.
I noticed same and returned it.
I’m not sure it’s a faulty product. It’s just meant to be eaten very fresh. I just can’t eat that much stracciatella in such short time, or I have to plan ahead better & get it when I know I will be using more than just a few tablespoons.
I didn’t mean to imply it was faulty, I was agreeing with you it goes bad FAST. Something I hadn’t realized when I bought it.
I was familiar with TJ’s HOTTT habanero sauce, but discovered the jalapeño pepper sauce in the fridge of our Philly pad. Very nice flavor & a great kick! Was perfect for dipping black pepper shrimp into
Solid YEA.
We tried the sauce and I thought it was decent but my wife didn’t like it.
TJ’s burger buns are GOLDEN! The mugging victim was a good sport, fortunately.
Ha! Reminds me when a friend’s dog snatched the hot dog she was eating right out of her hands.
Omg memories. We were at an outdoor market and the seagulls are very well fed. One swooped my husband and stole a pizza slice he was holding.
Boston area, getting take out food and eating on the beach, so many times seeing sea gulls swoop down and expertly, quickly, grab food.
Boats drop visitors on the island in the middle of Crater Lake in Oregon multiple times a day, rendering the fauna fearless. I was there in the '80s, eating a packed lunch between boat returns, and a squirrel suddenly jumped up on my knee and very nearly swiped a bag of trail mix out of my hand.
The brioche buns, I assume? I can’t see any dog snatching just regular burger buns.
