Cock a leekie soup and toastie with 1057 extra mature Scottish cheddar. Everything was very good.

Yep. But it’s not on you to know. It’s just that this thread has made me acutely aware of the absence.

It is Scottish breakfast for dinner time yet again, and I still have some of that vegetarian black pudding left, god help me. (I’ve grown to like it.) Can I call that English muffin a crumpet? Who’s to stop me! Added some roasted mushrooms this time, because I had mushrooms.

I’m struggling to see what that recipe has as being distinctly Scottish. Apart from the odd spice here and there, it looks just as I’d make it

I wanted to add something Scottish , even if in name only, to this thread before March is over.

We are having curried haddock tonight, but not finan haddie or kedgeree. Not even Scottish haddock.
