Metal in bread and buns in Canada
I’ve noticed fewer types of eggs and low inventory at Trader Joe’s, Berkeley Bowl and other stores.
I thought this would be apropos here.
I’ve maxed out on my Atlantic mooching so can’t read this but onions in the crosshairs is not good. I rarely make a dish without including some form of allium.
The real problem is mass prepped items that are then widely distributed. If a local buthcer makes ground beef, only a few people could be exposed, but grinding a ton in an industrial facility that ships to many states means one bad piece contaminates a lot of meat. If I chop an onion. it won’t end up in a thousand fast food restaurants, either.
The butter being recalled was sold exclusively in Texas, and according to a Food and Drug Administration report on the recall, 2,100 cases of the butter were shipped without proper allergen information being listed on the packaging.
I missed your post up thread. Sorry!
Oh well, important enough to read twice.
Welp, there goes my most favoritest food.
What’s next after onions being recalled…water, bottle water. The bottled water industry should be reform, or at the least have basic industry standards.
Jeez Louise! I hope that the groups that collect and distribute bottled water and comestibles do their due diligence and make sure what goes out is safe!
2 types of Johnsonville sausages have been recalled in Canada
Now it is organic carrots…E.coli out of Bakersfield, CA

The Canadian govt’s post.
Had a pound and a half of 365 baby carrots in the refrig - bye bye!
I had a bag of Grimmway baby carrots in the fridge, purchased at Costco. However, only the 25 lb size is recalled; the 5 lb bag I buy is apparently OK
