Egg tarts.
And today’s lunch…
Old school deviled eggs , mustard, mayo, paprika.
Escarole salad with anchovy vinaigrette.
Curried squash soup with wild rice.
Coffee custards for dessert, forgot to take a pic.
I’d hoover that entire plate of deviled eggs in record time.
My DH did
No doubt!
Corned beef on rye with sauerkraut and russian dressing, fries. From Cali Alley, a catering place here in Berkeley with an order window and picnic tables.
ETA: I forgot the photo.
Another stupid late (post-workout, post-grocery run) 4:30pm lunch:
Toasted 1/2 poppyseed bagel, shmear, Scottish dry-cured lox, horseradish — all courtesy of Biederman’s ('cept the horseradish).
Hoovered that up in under 5 min, I think
Yay! Lunch at a reasonable hour
The gift that keeps on giving: Saturday’s Thai red salmon curry, rice, and the tiny amount of bok choy from last night. I love how the heat level increases with each day it rests
Another day, another BEC, this time with jalapeno Havarti on toasted flaxseed sourdough+ mayo AND catsup.
Today’s lunch was peanut soup. I often make this soup during CSA season the weeks I get kale in my basket. Today I used frozen kale and I must admit I didn’t miss removing the ribs and chopping the kale.
I don’t know who John is but it doesn’t look like there’s much roast pork in that sammie? And what is the topping? It looks like steamed spinach…
A James Beard Award winner, as I was indignantly schooled in the Philly subreddit
There is plenty of pork beneath the spinach.
6 pork soup dumplings shared at the holiday market near City Hall.
We had the lady add black vinegar & chili crisp. Nice.
