Two massive bagel sammiches from a local favorite for the road.
The Neesh (house made chicken salad, bacon, lettuce, tomato) for my PIC.
Massive PITA to eat (there’s debris all over the floor of the driver’s seat), but absolutely delicious. In fact, I was experiencing sandwich envy.
I’d chosen to build my own with scrambled eggs, bacon, murrcan cheese, sweet peppers on a poppyseed bagel.
I thought the sweet peppers tasted more like pickles, which was a-ok with me
Met up with an ex-colleague in Markham for a long overdue ’ Hibernia GBS ’ team member luncheon chowmeet.
The venue chosen was the relatively new Markham ’ Mr. Congee ’ at Hwy#7 & Kennedy.
We shared the following couple of well executed and delectable dishes…" Cantonese Roasted Duck and Crispy Pork Rib Belly " and " Mixed Seafood ( Prawns, Squid, Scallops, Surimi ) Chow-Mein Crispy Noodles ".
Brought back fond memories of our time eating lunch at the ’ Tang Frere ’ Chinese restaurant in Paris 13th arr.
Good food, great company!
This is supposed to be a natto, ginger/scallion sauce, egg pancake, so let’s all pretend that’s what it looks like, shall we?
TBH I’d rather pretend it’s some sort of cookie with pistachios.
I can’t stop you, but it was awfully salty for a pistachio cookie.
You told us to go by looks, tho
Holy moly - those both look AMAZING!
Scrambled eggs with garlic & herbs cream cheese from the bagel place we stopped in yesterday before leaving town. That cream cheese is super-garlicky and delish
Tarts on the menu today, tomato, mozzarella, tapenade with a salad of radicchio, walnuts and apple.
Dessert were mini tarts with crème patisserie, blueberries / pistachios and a blackberry version as well.
Needs MOAR queso
only 1 slice each, moar than enough for me :D(plus that’s all I had in the fridge )
Went easy with lunch today: a slice of pepperoni from Stachey’s, one floor below our office. A decent NYC walking slice.
And yes, they give you TWO slices when you ask for “a slice”. I found that out the time I asked for two slices, and got four! LOL
Pasta today with homemade ricotta, grated pecorino Romano.
Dessert was vanilla pudding, caramel sauce , topped with brandied fruits/nuts.
The pudding was to be pastry cream until I saw the eggs on the counter that I forgot to incorporate
That looks so good!
