Oh I bet that Weizenbrötchen was amazing :sob:! Especially just leaving from Germany

I didn’t even open it. I don’t think United gets German brötchen.

I was being facetious.

And no facial clues in Text!

And that’s the problem with online communication in a nutshell

No harm, no foul. Here’s a decent salad we picked up at a local place. I usually get a mix of romaine & spring mix, cukes, red pepper, avocado (f it looks dec — I asked to see it, perplexing the salad mixing person behind the counter), and roasted corn. I add my own tomatoes at home cuz we cheap like that. They have a lot of choices for in-house made dressings, and their lemon caesar is pleasantly tart.

The roasted corn was unpleasantly chewy and flavorless, and bc the server was so generous with it, it permeated the entire bowl. I don’t usually pick out tiny bits of stuff, but … yeah. No more roasted corn from that joint :slightly_frowning_face:

OK, can I just move in? I don’t need a lot of space… just a seat at your dinner table

Fusion fried rice with shrimp and egg. “Fusion”, because the rice is leftover paella from earlier this week.

I am now noshing on a hot turkey sandwich at a local diner. It’s a midday break during day long shopping trip. No picture today because I don’t have any more room on my phone for pictures :frowning:

Yesterday (4th of July; how many places are open?) I went to lunch with my friend. First time I’d had a meal in a restaurant since probably my 2021 covid booster. Here is a pic from Google of what I had, and I also had a lager.

It was probably the best bar burger I’d ever had. There’s onion and tomato hidden in that lettuce. 1/2 pound burger. I ate EVERYTHING.

Then I went home. And was miserably, fightingly, lying on the bathroom floor, sick. My companion, who had the same, was not. I can only figure that I hadn’t eaten that much in 4+ years, and I did myself in.

Oh, wow - so very sorry to hear this. Hope you don’t have any recurring issues. DH & I went out for a an early 4:30 supper because we couldn’t get into any place for lunch, we each had urgent diarrhea about 90 minutes after getting home, but no nausea or vomiting. Eating out for entertainment is on hold for awhile.

Oh no! Maybe your lettuce or something was contaminated. That’s a disappointing end to a fun time out – and one such a long time coming! You deserve a redo.

Exactly my situation. I’m convinced it was situational, and not food poisoning, but I’m retreating to my kitchen for now. Plus, cataract surgery next week.
