Taco salad (ish)

One of my favorite deli meats, and it seems like it’s not terribly popular considering how good it is.

Sausage roll (my first ever) in a cute coffee shop in Dublin. Latte was good too. My sister had a veggie and goat cheese quiche.

Me too. The owner of a local Italian deli and I were laughing about this article when I told him about it. Trendy mortadella?? I’ve loved it since I first tasted it from the Mediterranean Market (RIP) in Carmel, Ca when I was in high school in the 60s!

Is mortadella different from bologna?

It’s got an Italian accent :pinched_fingers:t2:

Mortadella is much more flavorful and has different spicing. I have yet to find a bologna which doesn’t “cheap”. Bologna is also fully emulsified whereas mortadella is pieces of fat distributed (which makes for a better mouthfeel)

And pistachios, often. Don’t forget the pistachios (the only reason I buy mortadella).

One of the best döners in town, ordered as a dürüm döner & shared between the two of us.*

*and thank goodness for that — it was damn near 20" long! Ayran / Coke on the side.

WAY better (and I’m a big bologna fan)! Too bad Genova isn’t still on Telegraph. They had great mortadella (and everything else Italian).

I would like a donner/gyro cone installed in my kitchen .’… or steps from my building. I would gnaw on it until I died a happy woman.

Proper Sunday roast lunch at the Hawksmoor in Dublin, gravy in the silver sauceboat and a little tub of horseradish. Delicious!
