Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich, obligatory runny fried egg.

I’ve been wanting a sprout sandwich (just sprouts on toasted whole wheat with a little spicy brown mustard) for lunch but it seems very few stores want to carry alfalfa sprouts anymore. The ones that do charge an arm and leg for them. So I grew a small batch in a mason jar. I’ll “harvest” them later today, rinse off the hulls and enjoy.

Never tried that with mustard. Sounds good.

My girlfriend adds fresh sliced tomatoes to her sprout sandwich, but I prefer just the sprouts with a touch of that (good) spicy brown mustard.

It’s the weekend, and since it’s past 10 a.m. (local time), I consider this the “lunch” side of brunch.

Crispy potato pie, layered with sautéed onion, Comté cheese and bacon. A generous slice with a gently fried egg.

Dang, that looks great! Unfortunately, I am stuck with Greek yogurt & fruit salad :frowning:

Lunch today was “good eats”! A tart comprised of bits and bobs that turned out really tasty. Some sautéed zucchini, onion, garlic were the basis for the tart. Added finely chopped chard stems, bacon, cubed chicken and Comté cheese, parmesan. Some sour cream and an egg held it together. A crust of 50/50 einkorn and white flour worked well with the components. Radicchio salad on the side with a basil vinaigrette.

And lunch today…pork tenderloin sandwiches, tomato , mayo on a Portuguese roll. Lemon tart , sour cream and raspberry sauce😋
