Let's talk lobster [NJ]

What’s up stranger? How’s the seafood treating you lately?

Crabbing turned on for one weekend but it has been terrible here overall. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Haven’t been as a few stays in the hospital has kept me in the Twilight Zone physically and mentally but nothing modern medicine can’t fix.

The icing on the cake was when a contractor crashed though the ceiling of my upstairs apartment landing on me, I can’t make this up, I didn’t even know he was up there. Two f bombs came out of two mouths at the same time.

I got a rather nasty toe injury that is almost healed after a few months so I can’t go anywhere near the Gulf.

Bumping this up. Has anyone had any good lobster lately?

The fishing gods will definitely be rewarding this boat with some good catches soon. What a bunch of nice guys

But do you also eat the meat in the tail flippers?

Absolutely! No lobster meat left behind!

OH! I almost forgot…the best cure for a hangover today was a Lobster Roll from Point Lobster Company in good ol’ Point Pleasant. We brought a bottle of Joel Gott sauvignon blanc, and polished those off 7 feet from any other lobster fan. Exquisite.

Trama’s Truck at One Willow. Yesterday we took our Point Lobster Co.’s lobster rolls to a picnic table on site and we’re shortly thereafter told to scram, as food ordered as takeout cannot be consumed on the premises. Today, (yes it’s becoming an obsession) we ordered our Trama’s to Go lob rolls along with two hefty gin and tonics in plastic cups and sat out back on the water on the restaurant’s back patio. Puzzling discrepancy. Anyways, they were both quite good and I recommend giving Trama’s a try. Other folks were sitting out back and it was the first time something felt normal in a looooong time.

Looks delicious as does the soft shell crab sandwiches they have been posting on Instagram.

Wow man, I am literally salivating! Nicely done. I have not had lobster in a long time

Tramas’s at One Willow Lobster Rolls à trois from the truck. Is there such a thing as too many lobster rolls? Today’s lunch with whatever drinkie poo you can think of.

Don Pepe II reopened for takeout just in time for my weekend birthday celebration. We enjoyed twin lobsters stuffed with scallops, crabmeat, and shrimp, among other things. Details and pictures in the main WFD link below.

Local130 lobsters. 4 live bugs in a icebox landed us with enough meat for six sandwiches.
