Solo diner heading to Vegas this week. I am wide open Tuesday lunch through Friday breakfast. First time in a decade.
Happy to be a food tourist. I am doing U2 Wed night and Dead Thursday night, other than that, it is all about the dining. Staying at Harrah’s.
A few things that have caught my eye:
Gjelina menus look great, have not been since LA circa 2018.
May hit Delmonico Steak House just for Emeril’s gumbo and bbq shrimp. Even at his old Orlando outpost, these were great, and still great in NOLA IMO.
A possible stop in Momofuku for some apps, have not had this since NYC at Ssam.
Still have never been to Peter Luger in BK so I could go there for a 16oz dry aged strip steak.
I have done plenty of Eataly and Jose Andres spots so likely skip.
Eggslut for a breakfast might be in the cards. Canyon Ranch menu looks ordinary. Then there is also Sadelle’s .
I wonder if Secret Pizza is any good.
Well, those are a few that look like possibilities. Not huge Asian fan but will walk for excellent bites! (I see Lotus of Siam recommended here).
As far as I can tell, the Via Via food hall is not yet open? (Scarr’s, Turkey and Wolf).
Any thoughts most welcome. My first post here in quite a while!

These threads caught my interest:
Friends. Looking for any cuisine, any meal, where the food is really tasty and the price not crazy. We’ll be on the strip and also have a deuce pass. Hoping to keep the meals (entrees only and maybe a soda) to $25ish pp most of the time with an occasional splurge where we might go to $40 pp. 3 days in March.
Mr. Bionda and I are celebrating our upcoming anniversary with a last-minute trip out west! We’ll fly into Vegas and spend the next 6 days road tripping to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, followed by a few nights in Canyon City and Springdale Utah to see Bryce and Zion National Parks, and ending with a night in Vegas. Would love some food recs for the trip. We’ve been to Vegas once before and enjoyed great food on and off the strip, including Lotus of Siam, Bouchon, the Paris brunch buffet an…
I went on a trip to Vegas for vacation in the last week of 2023. I stayed on the Strip this time, in the New York New York hotel.
Day 1
Peppermill
I arrived on a late Tuesday evening flight from San Francisco and headed to Peppermill for a late dinner. They had re-expanded their hours recently and while still not quite 24/7 - except on weekends - they were open at around 1 in the morning.

Peppermill is like a neon Denny’s with a bar. I had a Country Fried Steak ($24.50) wit…
Las Vegas, Lotus of Siam. What to order?

Lotus of Siam is always worth a visit and so is Raku. Other options are Sparrow & Wolf, Double Zero, Carson Kitchen, Anima, Esther’s Kitchen or Bouchon

If yer up for a splurge you could go to L’Atelier by JR in the MGM Grand.

It’s been awhile since my last visit, but I thought Secret Pizza had a very good NYC style slice. Probably not a destination place, but it’s fun finding it if you happen to be near the Cosmopolitan, and it’s open late.
Some other ideas for places not mentioned already:
Lunch/Brunch - Mon Ami Gabi (Paris) for French fare, Bardot Brasserie (Aria), also French.
Fine Dining - Partage (Chinatown) for inventive tasting menus, Vetri Cucina (Palms) for excellent Italian food with a view.
Late night steak with great cocktails at Herbs and Rye or sister restaurant Cleaver.
Other - the Oyster Bar at Palace Station for a pan roast. Frankie’s for a tiki cocktail.

Momofuku is overpriced but it’s ok. If you go get the cake salad. Our most interesting meal was best friend in the park mgm. This was in March.
