Las Vegas, Lotus of Siam. What to order?

I make Lotus of Siam one of my regular stops when I am in Las Vegas every few years, and will be going again in May to see a show at The Sphere…

I usually order the same things, crispy duck with noodles (Khao Soi?) Nam prik ong and crispy garlic shrimp. How are the drunken noodles? Ribeye with a Thai jaew?

Is there anything else on the menu I gotta try or that I shouldnt miss? I love Thai food, and cant help but think that Lotus of Siam is one of the best Thai restaurants in the country. I’m looking for suggestions for other jewels on the menu that we should order.

If you want to try somewhere different, my favorite Thai chef relocated from NYC to LV after the pandemic. I keep hoping she’ll come back.

You’re welcome.

Definitely try Pam’s food that @saregama is recommending, if you have interest in 2 Thai meals at 2 different restos. I loved Pam Real Thai in NYC. Pam was especially known for her oxtail soup, which was a meal itself.

Oooh. I didnt know that. We’ll be in LV in June. If the Oxtail soup is on the menu… wait… checking… suspense… IT IS!

Yeah, I have been staring at that menu since I discovered where she set up and tempted to fly to LV for no reason!

Her daughter has a place in MIami!

I’m in Miami often. Know what its called?

I think it was called the same name. Maybe they shut down. Looking to see if I can find anything.

I remember seeing something about that online a while back, too.

Cripsy duck panang

Khao Soi

Nam Phrik Ong

Garlic prawns (makes sure to eat the shells, if you don’t you’re a fool)

Fried banana, coconut sticky rice, and coconut ice cream dessert (order two, even if dining alone, thank me later)

I’ve had them all but the Crispy Duck Panang.
You betcha I eat the shells…I wish they left the heads on!
Mango and coconut sticky rice has to be my all time favorite dessert anywhere.

This thread is making me hungry!
