We enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Koon Thai Eatery. It was out first but definitely not last time dining here. This is a newly opened restaurant by the owners of our favorite Thai restaurant, Ammata Thai in River Vale, NJ.
We enjoyed fish salad with Crispy red snapper fillet, roasted coconut, shallot, cashew nut, cilantro, scallion, fried shallot, garlic chip, chili jam, lime, coconut cream; Holy beef with Sauteed slided Angus beef rib eye, garlic, chili, corn, oyster sauce, fish sauce, dark soy sauce, Holy Thai basil, garlic chip; crispy vermicelli with Tamarind, fried shallot, jumbo lump crab meat, green apple, shallot, scallion, calamansi lime, coconut milk; garlic butter with crispy soft shell crab sweet shrimp paste, white pepper, coconut meat, Brussels sprouts, cilantro; crispy soft shell crab salad with shallot, corn, tomato, scallion, cilantro, tamarind lime fish sauce, garlic chip; fish tacos with Red snapper tempura, mango, shallot, scallion, cilantro, palm sugar lime sauce, cashew nut cream and Peking duck wrapper. It all went great with an excellent cabernet .
