I’d love a summer book!
I could use an excuse to cook from Rustic Fruit Desserts.
Here you go, new nominating thread:
Looks lovely
@Stef_bakes - I LOVED IT! The glaze is a little pink because I used the same bowl to mix the glaze as had held the berries - and there was a little juice left in the bowl…
Pretty in Pink
Next book!

Malted Sugar Cookies. A nice chewy slightly caramel taste. I used malted mix(Olvatine) and the cookie turned out a little darker. #40scoop gave me exactly 20 cookies.
I am not at home so don’t have access to the cookbook, but want to make the recipe! Could anyone dm me with it?? Thank you!!
I can.
THank you!!!
Sent you a HO message.
CHOCOLATE CHIP CRISPY RANGERS
Woke up way too early, and wanted to bake something for a friend who is in the hospital. Needed to have everything already on hand, and for it to be easy and quick, as I had a coffee date at 8:45. These fit the bill. This time I cut up a cup of dark chocolate covered cherries and used that, and I was careful about not leaving them in the oven too long. And guess what? They are fantastic. Coffee friends raved, and I’m on my second one myself.
PEANUT BUTTER BLONDIES (maybe pg 119, but I have the Kindle edition so I’m not confident about the page number)
These were super easy - came together in exactly the amount of time it took my oven to preheat. However, they were too sweet and not PB-y enough. I used semisweet chocolate chips and can only imagine how much more too sweet they would have been with PB chips! If I try again: 3/4 C brown sugar instead of the full 1 C, and roasted peanuts rather than dry-roasted (which is what we had), and crunchy PB instead of creamy, plus some flaky salt on top. Also, they went from too jiggly to almost-overdone very quickly. Should have pulled at 26 min as 28 was too long.
